Mission Statement
Cornerstone Christian School’s mission is to assist Christian parents by providing a Bible-based, Christian education that inspires each student to pursue excellence – spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically – and to serve Jesus to the next generation.
Statement of Faith
We believe in God the Father, Creator and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, who prepared this life for us and beckons us into His future.
We believe in God's only Son, Jesus Christ, who was sent to provide for us an access to the fullness of God. Only through Him is eternal life possible, and then to everyone who receives Him as Savior and Lord.
We believe in God's Holy Spirit, given by Jesus Christ to all His people as a source of strength until His return. We believe in the gifts the Spirit brings as a sign of His presence with an emphasis on no particular gift but an openness to all of them. Only as individuals allow the Spirit to work in a particular way through their lives is the church all that God intends it to be.
We believe that the Bible, God's Holy Word, sets the pace and is the standard for living. It is authoritative for us as a rule of faith and practice.
Our Philosophy
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Cornerstone Christian School is an extension of the Christian family and joins with parents in fulfilling the responsibility of training up and nurturing children in the Lord.
"The preeminence of Jesus Christ!" is a foundational value of Cornerstone Christian School. Because this is important to us, we seek God’s plan for education employing methods and materials useful to build young lives upon the rock of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is both the center of our personal lives and of every activity that goes on in the school.
We orient our Christian education around the “whole person,” with a specific life focus. We desire that each child know Christ, so we emphasize child evangelism. Emotional, social, and physical education are as much a concern as mental and intellectual achievements.
We know it is one thing to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, and an entirely different thing to have a Christian life become a practical, human, life-changing experience. Therefore, we seek to edify each child, seeing Christ reproduced in each life. In addition, we recognize that Christian life is community-oriented, so we expect our community of children to be transformed and conformed into the image of Christ as they seek Him, together with Cornerstone staff.
